The Ancient Grudge

"Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean"

-Prologue ActI sc. i

Two families, the Montagues and the Capulets, have had an on-going fued for as long as anyone can remember. Their hatred towards one another makes it difficult for the Prince of Verona to run a safe city, as they cause many fights in the streets. It proves to be a conflict when the two children of the separate houses fall in love with each other
